crash course in cd manufacturing

the
basics - the packaging
this section is currently under construction.
we appologize for any inconvenience this may cause
the most common form of cd packaging is the jewel case.
|
|
the jewel case is made up of 2 different parts: the front
of the jewel case, and the back of the jewel case (some
might say that the jewel case is made up of 3 parts, but
it's not. the "3rd" part of the jewel case is actually
a different piece called the trayholder... we'll get to
that soon). the front of the jewel case is attached to
the back of the jewel case with small pins which act as
hinges. |
|
the
trayholder is the part of the case where the actual
cd is held.
|
|
|
the trayholder snaps into the back of the jewel case,
and the cd snaps into the trayholder.
|
|
|
| jewel
cases are available in clear plastic (the standard type),
or clear, colour tinted plastics, and trayholders are
available in opaque black (the standard type), clear plastic
(fairly common type), clear, colour tinted plastics (speciality
items), and opaque colours other than black (speciality
items). |
|
we can supply coloured jewel cases and trayholders, however
you should verify with us that we have the colour you
want in stock, as well as its price, before placing your
order. these items are only available for us to order
in large quantities, so depending upon the size of your
order we may or may not be able to get the speciality
jewel cases and trayholders specifically for you... BUT
it is completely possible that we have some already in
stock from a previous order. please ask us about these
items for your order. |
